SUMMARY:Gregg Allman: The Music of My Soul
DESCRIPTION:This documentary traces the turbulent and transcendent life of Gregg Allman\, from a childhood marked by loss to the musical legacy that helped shape American sound. Through archival recordings\, rare interviews\, and performance footage\, the film follows his deep connection to the blues\, the formation of the Allman Brothers Band with his brother Duane\, and the evolution of a sound that would define Southern rock. \n “A timeless portrait of one of our greatest bands ever — The Allman Brothers Band. Centered around a rare and intimate interview with Gregg Allman\, The Music of My Soul tells the story of survival\, loyalty\, love\, loss\, family\, genius\, perseverance\, and one of the wildest rides in rock history.” — Cameron Crowe \nThe film explores Allman’s lifelong struggles with addiction\, personal loss\, and reinvention\, alongside the cultural landscape that shaped his work. Interviews with musicians\, friends\, and family reflect on the band’s role in challenging boundaries in the segregated South and creating a sound both raw and enduring. \nAnchored by Allman’s unmistakable voice and never-before-seen material\, the documentary offers an intimate portrait of an artist whose life and music remain deeply intertwined. \nPost show Q&A with Documentary Lead Producer and longtime friend Michael Lehman joined by the film’s Director\, James Keach. \n A portion of every ticket supports The Wheeler Associates Music Scholarship\, established to champion young musicians who embody passion\, creativity\, and dedication to their craft.

SUMMARY:Chris Anthony's "Friedl"
DESCRIPTION:If you’re interested in the 7 PM showing\,  click here \nFriedl is a sweeping documentary portrait of Friedl Pfeifer\, one of the most influential figures in American skiing\, whose life bridged prewar Europe and the rise of Aspen as an international ski destination. Born on a farm in St. Anton\, Austria\, Pfeifer became an elite alpine racer\, winning the legendary Grossglockner race before fleeing Nazi persecution after the arrest of his mentor\, Hannes Schneider. His journey carried him across continents to the United States\, where he was briefly interned as an enemy alien before serving with the 10th Mountain Division in World War II. \nDirected by Colorado Snowsports Hall of Fame inductee Chris Anthony\, the film combines historical depth with cinematic mountain storytelling. Anthony\, an award‑winning filmmaker and former Warren Miller Entertainment host\, brings decades of experience as an athlete\, historian\, and storyteller to Pfeifer’s remarkable legacy\, including his role in modernizing Sun Valley Ski School and founding Aspen Skiing Company. Post show Q&A with filmmaker.
