It captures their relentless fight to cultivate profound inner strength and reclaim their voices. \nRebecca Magnuson’s own experiences serve as the foundation for the show. The daughter of a fundamental\, Bible believing\, hell-fire and brimstone preaching pastor in the Christian right living in Brooklyn\, NY\, she years later found herself in a horrific 2 month divorce trial in Washington\, DC Superior Court where she uncovered over 20 million her husband concealed from her during discovery. Her motion for a continuance was denied. In a chilling turn\, she was later arraigned in criminal court facing a year in jail for violating the protective order her husband was granted by the same judge presiding over the divorce trial simply for sending a text that read\, “F– you.” Eventually\, Rebecca found her voice and financial freedom having contracted with Amazon in 2019 and owning a top 5% worldwide logistics company for Amazon in the DC area. \nShe Sings has toured from off-Broadway across the US to Los Angeles and beyond internationally to sold out audiences with high acclaim.
