SUMMARY:Anna Tivel with Luke Henry
DESCRIPTION:Anna Tivel is a Portland\, Oregon-based\, internationally touring songwriter who is forever drawn to the quiet stories of ordinary life. The characters and imagery that populate her writing are full of breath and vivid color. With six full-length albums out and a seventh on the way\, Anna has been likened to a short story writer and praised by NPR\, Rolling Stone\, Billboard\, and others for her keen observations of the human condition. In fact\, Ann Powers of NPR Music had this to say\, “Anna Tivel is just one of my absolute favorite living songwriters. Her writing on [Outsiders] is at the same level as Paul Simon when he wrote ‘The Boxer’ and ‘American Tune.'” \nLuke Henry is a Nashville-based singer-songwriter originally from Colorado\, blending honest Americana storytelling with a modern folk-pop sound. Fans of Noah Kahan\, James Taylor\, and Ed Sheeran will feel right at home. His songs dig into fleeting moments\, emotional turns\, and the kind of stories you feel more than hear. Luke’s debut album is set to drop later in 2025. \n

SUMMARY:Tennessee Williams' A Streetcar Named Desire
DESCRIPTION:An airplane hanger\, a church\, a bar\, a warehouse\, a dining hall\, a movie theater\, a home\, a library\, a boutique\, a barn…for the past two years The Streetcar Project has toured Tennessee Williams’ masterpiece\, A Streetcar Named Desire\, to unconventional spaces around the country — and it comes\, for the first time\, to Aspen. \nThere is a vital need right now to create new economically viable forms of theater. Working class artists must reclaim a central role in the creation and presentation of their own work. In that spirit\, director Nick Westrate and Lucy Owen have created a version of A Streetcar Named Desire like none other. Presenting Tennessee Williams’s complete\, unabridged text with no props\, or set this production is designed to be performed everywhere. It’s hyper intimate\, completely unique\, and incredibly revealing. This production strips bare to the bones the greatest piece of American drama. \nFor four nights\, the ghosts of Blanche\, Stella\, Mitch and Stanley will haunt the Wheeler Opera House’s historic Vault Lobby. Come see the landmark site-specific production reimagine how this beautiful space can hold a play. You’ve never seen A Streetcar Named Desire like this before\, and you never will again. \n“A Streetcar Named Desire” contains mature themes\, strong language\, and depictions of violence against women. Viewer discretion is advised. This performance is recommended for mature audiences. \n

SUMMARY:Inspire Aspen Songwriter Series
DESCRIPTION:Inspire Aspen Foundation is proud to present a special evening of music featuring Nashville singer/songwriter Colleen McKenna\, alongside our talented local musicians\, Tristan Trincado and Gracie Searle-Feinberg\, in a unique “Songwriter in the Round” performance . This intimate event marks the culmination of a two-day songwriting workshop with Inspire Aspen’s students\, where they have had the opportunity to collaborate\, create\, and refine their original songs. During the performance\, the students will not only showcase their work but also share the stories and inspirations behind their songs\, providing a deeper connection to the music. Join us for an evening of creativity\, inspiration\, and the power of storytelling through song. \nColleen McKenna blends the heart of classic country with the soul of faith-driven storytelling. Originally from Ohio\, she moved to Nashville after high school and quickly made a name for herself\, hosting songwriter rounds at the Listening Room Cafe and penning lead singles for the Ryan Waters Band. At just 20\, her lyrics explore love\, heartbreak\, and hope with a voice far beyond her years. Her music spans both country and Christian genres\, with viral hits like “WWJD” and original worship songs such as “Revival” and “Reason to Trust.” With two independent country projects—Rewind and Broken Record—and performances across the U.S.\, Mexico\, and Italy\, McKenna continues to craft music that connects across stages\, sanctuaries\, and everywhere in between. \nTristan Trincado is quickly getting recognized for his old soul expressive vocals that sing straight to the heart. As senior at Basalt High School\, he captured the attention of the Inspire Aspen Foundation and emerged victorious in their prestigious\, Aspen Rocks\, in 2024. His debut original song\, “Sinner\,” is now available on all music platforms and is featured on the @gibsonguitar playlist\, where he has been proudly named the CEO’s favorite new artist. \nGracie Searle-Feinberg has a unique singer/songwriter style and her catchy lyrics will make you forget she’s a senior at Aspen High School. Since the age of 9\, she has been writing her own music and performing on the streets of Aspen. Currently\, she is in the process of creating her debut album at Mad Dog Ranch+Studios\, working alongside the Inspire Aspen Foundation. Notably\, Gracie was a winner in their esteemed program\, Aspen Rocks\, in 2022. Proceeds from the event will benefit Inspire Aspen Foundation and go towards giving unique opportunities to student musicians in the Aspen Snowmass Roaring Fork Valley to pursue their talents and musical journeys. Please join us for a fantastic evening of music! Changing Lives One Note At A Time!\nFor more information about us go to\nwww.inspireaspenfoundation.org

SUMMARY:Roaring Fork Rising: Olivia Pevec with John Hatanaka
DESCRIPTION:Olivia Pevec is a wandering bard\, blacksmith\, and storyteller who has spent 25 years in Carbondale crafting music that bridges the personal and the universal. A former high school teacher\, cowgirl\, and co-creator of bands like Molasses Grass and LET THEM ROAR\, Olivia now embraces the art of storytelling through song. Her show Wayfaring Stranger intertwines original music—performed both a cappella and with banjo—with the tale of P. Charming\, a rescued baby bird. Through music and story\, Olivia invites audiences into a lightly ritualistic experience\, encouraging connection\, reflection\, and a deeper love for life. \nJohn Hatanaka a.k.a SoundAndTheMessenger has been performing guitar and singing in and out of the valley since he was about 13 years old. The Aspen Native has played gigs internationally in Japan and Australia. Synchronistic events linked him up with JR in Sedona\, back up guitarist and musician for Lynyrd Skynyrd. His travels and music has allowed him to play on stages in Japan and Australia as well. Lately\, he’s been residing back in Aspen\, most recently continuing on with his late band Angelico. Aspen continues to be the palette for his creative works. \n
