Mountainfilm on Tour is coming to Aspen bringing a selection of culturally rich, adventure-packed and inspiring documentary films curated from the Mountainfilm festival held every Memorial Day weekend in Telluride, Colorado.
The Medley program brings together a dynamic mix of short documentaries that celebrate adventure, legacy, and the power of personal expression.
• Adventure & Athleticism: From splitboarding in the San Juan backcountry (Center Punch) and deep snow missions in Japan, Washington, and Alaska (Strike – Mary Rand), to mountain biking and surf photography, these films showcase the thrill and artistry of outdoor sports.
• Legacy & Mentorship: Dynasty and Destiny explores the bond between a mother and daughter united by rodeo and family tradition, while First In, Last Out follows a swimmer-turned-surf photographer inspired by her father’s memory to break barriers in a male-dominated field.
• Community & Identity: Your Opinion, Please reflects on Montana’s evolving sense of self through a decade of unscripted radio calls, highlighting the importance of open dialogue and diverse perspectives.
• Tribute & Remembrance: Pastrana is a heartfelt tribute to friendship and the enduring impact of those we’ve lost, as memories help fill the silence and deepen understanding.
• Skill & Creativity: Eliot Jackson: Drop The Mic and other films spotlight athletes whose mastery and innovation redefine what’s possible in their sports, blending technical prowess with personal style.
