Behind every performance at the Wheeler is a team of professionals making sure every technical detail comes together seamlessly. One of those key people is Cody Kosinski, Assistant Production Manager, who oversees the theater’s technical operations, supervises technicians, collaborates with visiting artists and clients, and leads the design and operation of lighting systems for performances.

Cody first joined the Wheeler as a part-time employee in 2015 and moved into a full-time role in 2020. Since then, he has helped guide significant upgrades to the theater’s lighting, audio, video, rigging, and staging systems while preserving the historic character that makes the Wheeler so special.

“My favorite part of this job has been building and designing the theater to function in a way where everyone can work safely and efficiently while maximizing our technical capabilities,” Cody says. “I’m especially proud of how we’ve preserved the Wheeler’s historic charm while upgrading nearly every technical system in the building.”

From the audience, these improvements may go unnoticed, but they help make every production safer, more efficient, and more impactful. Cody’s expertise and dedication continue to enhance the experience for artists, audiences, and staff alike, ensuring the Wheeler remains a premier performing arts venue for years to come.
