Aspen, CO: With less than two weeks from the return of the Aspen Laugh Festival, the Wheeler Opera House has announced the opening acts for the incredible lineup of comedians who’ll be taking the stage February 21-25.

Kicking off the five-day festival is Sydnee Washington, opening for Zainab Johnson on Tuesday, February 21 at 7:30 PM.  Sydnee is the host of her own Instagram Live show SYD CAN COOK and the host of Headgum’s “Hobby Hunter.” She co-hosts the popular podcast “The Unofficial Expert,” where she discusses her many fields of expertise, like flirting, porn, daddy issues, online dating, cookouts, stalking, sex toys, and Runaway Brides. Sydnee was recently honored as an “UpNext” comedian at Comedy Central’s Cluster fest. She can be seen on this season of TruTV’s “Laff Mobb Laugh Tracks.” Her humor and view toward vanity, dating both sexes, and how to party safely as a women are both unique and refreshing.

The laughs continue Wednesday, February 22 at 7:30 PM with The Second City performing Swipes Right: An Incomplete Guide to the Ultimate Date Night. This year’s Second City Cast includes Bree Bartman, John Love, Rich Alfonso, Jillian Ebanks, Leila Gorstein, Dylan Hackworth, Hannah Ingle, and Jordan Stafford.

She’s baaack. That’s right, maybe you saw Becky Robinson as “Suzy Chapstick” or “The Entitled Housewife” this past December at her sold out show at the Wheeler.  Well, she’s back on stage this laugh festival opening for Pete Lee on Wednesday, February 23 at 7:30 PM.

We promise Double the Laughs with Ivan Decker and Ryan Hamilton on Friday, February 24, 2023, at7:30 PM. Originally from Vancouver, now based in Los Angeles, Ivan Decker is a writer, standup comic and actor, known for his sharp, polished, and multi-layered observational comedy. Ryan Hamilton’s one-hour Netflix stand-up special, Happy Face, has been reviewed as “the special you can’t watch enough times.” He’s had numerous television appearances and a nonstop headlining tour, not to mention opening spots for Jerry Seinfeld and Jim Gaffigan.

We’ll close out the festival this year with triple threat, actor, writer and standup comic Ron Funches on Saturday, February 25 at 7:30 PM. Opening for Ron will be one of the most promising young Los Angeles based standup comics to come out of Nashville’s bustling comedy scene, Laura Peek. Selected to be a New Face at the prestigious 2022 Just For Laughs Festival, Laura’s storytelling and sharp wit delight audiences across the country.
