Counterpoint: Conrad Tao & Caleb Teicher

Counterpoint is a groundbreaking collaboration between pianist and composer Conrad Tao and dancer-choreographer Caleb Teicher. Together, they explore the intersections of music and dance, seamlessly blending tradition with innovation. Their performances feature a thrilling mix of Bach’s Goldberg Variations, Art Tatum’s exuberant jazz, and Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue, weaving improvisation with classical and contemporary dance in a shared, spontaneous experience. Their previous work, More Forever, received the prestigious Bessie Award and was praised by The New York Times for “constantly extending the sonic aspects of dance.”

Presented in association with Aspen Music Festival & School
