Since DanceAspen’s first performances at the Wheeler Opera House in September 2021, the partnership between DanceAspen and the Wheeler has shown how the arts can revitalize a community. As a historic venue, the Wheeler is not the traditional dance space, with a stage that is just shy of 28 feet wide and a stage depth of just over 26 feet. With ingenuity, creativity, and perseverance, DanceAspen brings choreography to the edge of dance, quite literally to the edges of the Wheeler’s historic stage.
