Olivia Pevec is a wandering bard, blacksmith, and storyteller who has spent 25 years in Carbondale crafting music that bridges the personal and the universal. A former high school teacher, cowgirl, and co-creator of bands like Molasses Grass and LET THEM ROAR, Olivia now embraces the art of storytelling through song. Her show Wayfaring Stranger intertwines original music—performed both a cappella and with banjo—with the tale of P. Charming, a rescued baby bird. Through music and story, Olivia invites audiences into a lightly ritualistic experience, encouraging connection, reflection, and a deeper love for life.
John Hatanaka a.k.a SoundAndTheMessenger has been performing guitar and singing in and out of the valley since he was about 13 years old. The Aspen Native has played gigs internationally in Japan and Australia. Synchronistic events linked him up with JR in Sedona, back up guitarist and musician for Lynyrd Skynyrd. His travels and music has allowed him to play on stages in Japan and Australia as well. Lately, he’s been residing back in Aspen, most recently continuing on with his late band Angelico. Aspen continues to be the palette for his creative works.
