Grammy-nominated trio The Wood Brothers formed after brothers Chris and Oliver Wood spent more than a decade pursuing separate musical paths. Chris Wood is widely known for his work as a founding member of Medeski Martin & Wood, while Oliver Wood built a devoted following leading the Southern roots band King Johnson. Joined by multi-instrumentalist Jano Rix, the trio has become one of roots music’s most respected acts, releasing nine studio albums and performing to sold-out audiences across North America. Their latest release, Puff of Smoke, reflects on impermanence and mindfulness, delivered through inventive songwriting, rich textures, and an improvisational approach shaped by years of collaboration.
With special guest, Margo Cilker
In the wake of the critically acclaimed “Valley of Hearts Delight” and her stunning debut “Pohoryll” Margo Cilker has made a name for herself as a clear-eyed troubadour, spinning songs from everyday truths. Her live performances are at once intimate and electric, inviting glimpses into the characters and moments that are the fabric of life. She makes her home near the Columbia River in Goldendale, Washington with her husband, songwriter and working cowboy Forrest VanTuyl, as well their dog and some horses.
The Wood Brothers have partnered with American Friends of Canadian Conservation so that $1 per ticket will support The Nature Trust of British Columbia (NTBC) in their efforts to conserve ecologically-rich wetlands and protect irreplaceable land from development. Every $1 donated will be matched by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service with $2 so more endangered wetlands can be saved. If you’d like to learn more, please visit this link.
